Project Description

MROAir, paperless app

After our Proof of concept at KLM we decided to see if we could make the app “fly”. We started a startup company called MROair, led by Patrick Morcus (Aircraft maintenance engineering was running through his veins) and a few programmers like Bart Brouwer. Together we built an application that was validated in the market, proven by a testpanel of aircraft maintenance engineers and with a huge potential to become the number 1 app for MRO.

We designed the journey (visited more than 20 companies to see their processes), we built the structure of the app around it (based on the certified workflows) and flew all over the world to show the opportunity. It was a great time where business development, marketing and startup mentality was blended into one productive company.

My role was to market and develop the app as a product and we manage to get our video’s and marketing to go viral.

“That’s been one of my mantras — focus and simplicity. Simple can be harder than complex; you have to work hard to get your thinking clean to make it simple.”

“I think if you do something and it turns out pretty good, then you should go do something else wonderful, not dwell on it for too long. Just figure out what’s next.”
